Following on from the from the film the other day, Warner Bros. Animation has issued its first teaser trailer for The Lego Batman Movie. A spin-off of The Lego Movie, the superhero animated satire will arrive in theaters on February 10th, 2017 and sees the great Will Arnett bringing his vocal talents to the Dark Knight once more. Check out the trailer below…
Well, that looks pretty hilarious! No shocker there though, after how delightful The Lego Movie itself was. Kids will undoubtedly eat this up, but will general adult audiences flock to it as well? I have a feeling a light-hearted dose of Batman might be just what the doctor ordered come early next year, especially in light of all the negative buzz surrounding Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Also, kudos to Warner Bros. Animation for giving a shout-out to both Batman Forever and Batman & Robin. The studio tends to ignore both films when discussing the character’s cinematic legacy, so it was nice to see them get a little love here. Check back tomorrow for our Batman v Superman review and in the meantime, enjoy this teaser!
