Next week will see the first trailer for F. Gary Gray’s Fast 8, the eighth film in the Fast and Furious franchise that began back in 2001. This movie is the sequel to 2015’s Furious 7, which was directed by James Wan (Insidious, The Conjuring) and took in over $1.5 billion worldwide, making it one of the highest grossing films of all time.
In Fast 8, the crew come together for another wild and explosive adventure, although no official plot details have yet been released. All we know from the below video, which shows behind-the-scenes footage as well as honors the dedicated audience of the series, is that there are going to be massive stunts, huge explosions, and a lot of fast driving. Basically, it’s what you’d expect and what you’d want from one of these movies.
Fast 8 stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Chris Bridges, Lucas Black, Scott Eastwood, Kurt Russell, Jason Statham and Charlize Theron. It is the first movie, apart from Tokyo Drift, that doesn’t star Paul Walker, who passed away in 2013 in a car accident.
Fast 8 comes out April 14th, 2017.
The saga continues. This Sunday, the cast will be in NYC to debut the trailer! Tune-in live on December 11.
