Logan Marshall-Green (Prometheus) has joined on to star in Stem, the upcoming sci-fi/thriller which will be written and directed Leigh Whannell (Saw, Insidious), according to . The film will be produced by Blumhouse Productions in association with Goalpost Pictures Australia, per the site, and will shoot in Melbourne.
From the site:
The script is set in a near-future when technology controls nearly all aspects of life and centers on a technophobe (Marshall-Green) who avenges his wife’s murder and his own paralysis-causing injury with the help of an experimental computer chip implant called Stem.
Whannell has written some incredibly solid stuff over the years. I strongly believe that the first Saw is a horror classic and I adore the Insidious films. I’m 100% aboard this project knowing that he’s the guy behind it.
