It looks like there’s going to be a fourth and final entry for The Expendables, according to Cologne, Germany-based distributor Splendid Film, who locked down the rights for the title, per . This film will follow the third Expendables title, which came out in 2014. While the third film failed to perform well at the box office, it still did quite well overseas, which is presumably why a fourth title is in the works.
The franchise stars Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, and Dolph Lundgren with appearances from Bruce Willis, Mel Gibson, Eric Roberts, Jet Li, Antonio Banderas, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Chuck Norris, Mickey Rourke, Ronda Rousey, Wesley Snipes, and more.
The fourth Expendables is tentatively scheduled for a 2018 release.
