Alright, so this isn’t directly related to cinema but it’s so cool that I didn’t want to let it slide by. Imgur user scott9791313 decided that he wanted to spruce up his keyring, so he took a clip and set to work carving it slowly and meticulously. What began as an ordinary (most likely) brass clip ended up an alien-looking monstrosity that was directly inspired by the artwork of Swiss surrealist painter H.R. Giger, who is known for his work on films such as Alien and Species. It’s the kind of thing that I would 100% use and do my damnedest not lose in a week.
Seriously speaking though, the amount of work that went into such a small object is pretty incredible. Apparently, all of this was done using a simple Dremel tool, although I can’t imagine how precise and focused you’d have to be to create something so intricate. Much respect to the craftsman!
