Super Bowl TV Spot: ‘The Fate Of The Furious’

The arrival of the latest film in the ongoing saga of The Fast and the Furious is only a little over two months away. That still seems a bit far, but if all of the trailers to date are anything to go on, The Fate of the Furious will be worth the wait. Check out the insanity glimpsed in the latest TV spot, which aired during the Super Bowl yesterday…

I absolutely love this franchise. Even the worst film of the bunch (2009’s Fast & Furious) has its merits and the series has been firing on cylinders since Fast Five. This outing looks to be upping not only the action ante, but also the ridiculous melodrama that pumps throughout the franchise. I wouldn’t have it any other way! This series was already crazy when it added Dwayne Johnson and managed to keep him around ever since. Now we have Jason Statham and Kurt Russell in the mix as well.

What more could an action fan ask for? What’s that? More badass females? You asked for it, you got it. This one tosses in Charlize Theron and Helen Mirren. I don’t know if we as a species deserve such treats, but here they are nonetheless. Is it April yet?

The Fate of the Furious is the eighth film in Universal’s popular action franchise. Directed by F. Gary Gray, from a screenplay by Chris Morgan, the picture is produced by Neal H. Moritz and Vin Diesel. It stars Vin Diesel as ‘Dominic Toretto’, Dwayne Johnson as ‘Luke Hobbs’, Michelle Rodriguez as ‘Letty Ortiz’, Charlize Theron as ‘Cipher’, Jason Statham as ‘Deckard Shaw’, Kurt Russell as ‘Frank Petty’, Tyrese Gibson as ‘Roman Pearce’, Chris Bridges as ‘Tej Parker’, Nathalie Emmanuel as ‘Ramsey’, Elsa Pataky as ‘Elena Neves’, Tego Calderon as ‘Tego’, and Don Omar as ‘Rico Santos’. Helen Mirren, Scott Eastwood, and Kristopher Hivju also star.

The Fate of the Furious races into theaters on April 14th, 2017.

Its funny. If you would of asked me back in the day if we would have 12 of these flicks. I would of laughed. But I swear they get better and better with each one. 7 was deft my fav I can watch the hell out of that movie and never be bored. This one looks like its going to be even more insane. And what I love is they actually do most of these car stunts as humanly possible.
