Schwarzenegger’s ‘Aftermath’ Gets A Trailer

The trailer for Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s latest film has arrived. The actor debuted this first preview of Aftermath on social media earlier today. The film is a dramatic thriller about a man (Schwarzenegger) who lost his child and wife in a plane crash. The man, Viktor, ultimately blames an air traffic controller (Scoot McNairy) for their deaths and will not let it go. The film, formerly titled 478, was produced by Darren Aronosfky and his company, Protozoa Pictures. It looks pretty good, so check it out…

This is the first in what looks to be a large wave of Arnold films over the next couple years. The Austrian Oak also has an action comedy (Taran Killam’s Why We’re Killing Gunther) in the can and just finished up some sort of small role in Viy 2: Journey To China, alongside Jackie Chan. He is also slated to shoot overseas period piece The Guest of Sanxingdui and the action thriller Blanco (formerly Narco Sub) later this year. Furthermore, the veteran action star is also expected to make some sort of appearance in the likes of Shane Black’s The Predator, Escape Plan 2, and The Expendables 4, all of which are slated for production in 2017. Beyond even those projects, it seems highly likely that Schwarzenegger will have some sort of part to play in the recently-announced new Terminator project by James Cameron and Tim Miller. Busy, busy, busy.

Aftermath is the latest film from director Elliott Lester (Blitz). Written by Javier Gullon (Enemy), the picture is produced by Darren Aronofsky, Peter Dealbert, Randall Emmett, Scott Franklin, George Furla, and Eric Watson. It stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as ‘Viktor’, Maggie Grace as ‘Christina’, Scoot McNairy as ‘Paul Bonanos’, Hannah Ware as ‘Tessa’, Kevin Zegers as ‘John Gullick’, Mariana Klaveno as ‘Eve Sanders’, Larry Sullivan as ‘James Gullick’, and Thomas Newhard.

Aftermath arrives in theaters and on VOD on April 7th, 2017.
