‘American Gods’, ‘MST3K’, ‘Get Down’ & ‘Fargo’ Nab Premiere Dates

Premiere dates galore! We’re entering that time of year when all of the spring premieres are announced and we have a handful of them for you today. First on deck is Bryan Fuller’s “American Gods“. The television adaptation of the Neil Gaiman fantasy tome will debut on Starz on April 30th. You can check out a teaser for “American Gods” below, as well as a poster at the bottom of the piece.

After years of fan prayers, the gods kindly answered last year when a return of “Mystery Science Theater 3000” was made reality. A new season of the show was fully-funded by fandom and then promptly scooped up by Netflix for premiere this year. Now we have a date: April 14th. There’s no word on what films the new cast (which includes Jonah Rey, Patton Oswalt, and Felicia Day) will be laughing at and along with this time around, but that just adds to the fun. A photo of the new cast starts off the top of this piece.

Next on deck is another Netflix offering: “The Get Down“. The Baz Luhrmann period piece musical drama series debuted its first part last year and now it returns in 2017 with a second. “The Get Down: Part II” will arrive on the popular streaming service on April 7th. You can check out the announcement trailer below…

Lastly, we have “Fargo“, which is entering its third season this year. According to Variety, the Noah Hawley (“Legion“) crime series, inspired by the popular Coen Bros. film, returns to FX on April 19th. The season, which will star Ewan McGregor (in dual roles), is currently finishing up production in Canada. A still of McGregor can be viewed below.
