Jason Momoa To Star In ‘Just Cause’ Adaptation

The Wrap is reporting that Jason Momoa (“Game of Thrones“, Wolves) will star in a film adaptation of the popular video game franchise, Just Cause. The actor will bring to life series lead ‘Rico Rodriguez‘ on the big screen. Additionally, Heroic Hollywood is reporting that Brad Peyton (San Andreas, Rampage) has been brought on board to direct the picture. Sadly, those are all of the details available at the time. The Just Cause video game series is a creation of Avalanche Studios and Square Enix. It has spanned three games to date.

Momoa is, of course, our Aquaman in the DC Extended Universe. After making a fleeting cameo in last year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, a role he will reprise this year in Justice League. Production is also about to ramp up on a solo movie, directed by James Wan, for release in 2018. Long story short? I hope you like Aquaman.

Just Cause isn’t the only potential extra franchise that Momoa is cultivating at the moment. The actor is also still signed on to play the titular role in the oft-delayed production of The Crow Reborn. Additionally, he just had his own TV series, “The Frontier“, debut on Netflix, which also saw the involvement of Incarnate director Brad Peyton.
