Heroes United: The ‘Justice League’ Trailer Has Arrived

Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment have unleashed the first full trailer for Zack Snyder’s Justice League. It looks like, well, a Justice League movie. The darkness of Batman v Superman appears to be cranked back at least a bit, giving things a slightly pulpier, but still very serious feel. As someone who still likes Man of Steel, this hewing closer to that DC Extended Universe film than the last two is a plus, as far as I am concerned.

Affleck and Galdot still looking great as Batman and Wonder Woman. Jason Momoa looks to be having some fun as Aquaman, which is encouraging both for this and for James Wan’s Aquaman. Ezra Miller looks like he might be giving us our second good live action Flash of the decade. I still hate the Transformers-esque over-busy design for Cyborg and the fact that he’s a CG creation with Ray Fisher’s face pasted over top of it. The Parademons look cool, although I hope Ciaran Hinds’ Steppenwolf is showcased enough in the film so that we have more than just a faceless horde of CGI beasties for our heroes to battle. As always WB cuts a mean DC trailer, but we’ve been burned twice before. Here’s hoping that both this and Wonder Woman change the DCEU discussion in 2017…
