Walter Hill’s ‘The Assignment’ Snags A Blu-ray Release Date

Walter Hill’s latest flick The Assignment, which has been on a number of different VOD platforms for a while now, is finally coming to Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD on June 6th from Lionsgate. Our very own Daniel Baldwin shared his thoughts on the film saying that while it is flawed “it actually felt more like ‘a Walter Hill film.'” I’ve yet to see it, but Hill is enough to sell me on anything and I look forward to checking this one out when it hits Blu in a couple of months.

OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS
Legendary director Walter Hill gives the revenge film a modern neo-noir twist with this electrifying thriller. Hit man Frank Kitchen (Rodriguez) is given a lethal assignment, but after being double-crossed, he discovers he’s not the man he thought he was — he’s been surgically altered and now has the body of a woman. Seeking vengeance, Frank heads for a showdown with the person who transformed him, Dr. Rachel Kay (Weaver), a brilliant surgeon with a chilling agenda of her own.
