‘The Fate of the Furious’ Races To Home Video June 27th!

The 8th entry in the extremely popular Fast and Furious franchise, The Fate of the Furious (read our review), is finally ready to make that long drive home. Fans of Digital HD will be able to sang the film first beginning on June 27th while those holding out for the physical versions — 4K, Blu-ray and DVD (plus other On Demand services) — will have to wait until July 11th.

The Blu-ray will have it’s own special features and then there will be some bonus content that is shared between Blu-ray and DVD. A new that is happening on this release that I’ve never seen before is that a never-before-seen extended director’s cut will only be available digitally. If you buy one of the physical releases you get the theatrical release on disc and then a code for the extended cut. I hope this doesn’t become a trend.

Full details below!

BONUS FEATURES EXCLUSIVE TO BLU-RAY:

  • The Cuban Spirit – As the first major studio motion picture to shoot in Cuba in decades, the country’s effusive spirit permeates the making of the film.

  • Car Culture – It’s time to put yourself in the driver’s seat of the supercharged vehicles showcased in The Fate of the Furious.

BONUS FEATURES on BLU-RAY and DVD:

  • All About the Stunts – Go behind the scenes to witness how The Fate of the Furious accomplished the most epic stunts in franchise history.
