STX Entertainment has released a red-band trailer for A Bad Moms Christmas. It is just as raunchy-looking a Christmas comedy as you would expect a holiday-themed Bad Moms sequel to be. In other words, this trailer is not safe for work, so consider yourself warned!
Amy (Mila Kunis), Carla (Kathryn Hahn), and Kiki (Kristen Bell) struggle to cope when their respective mothers visit for the holidays.
I haven’t caught up with the first one yet, so I can’t comment on how this looks to play as a follow-up. Still, it has a great cast. I also love the fact that we’re getting more and more female-centric raunchy comedies again and I am always down for Christmas-themed sequels. The biggest worry here is that this production was clearly rushed to have a sequel out the very next year. That’s often a death-knell for comedy sequels, but hopefully this one can by-pass that usual rut.
A Bad Moms Christmas is the sequel to STX Entertainment’s 2016 hit, Bad Moms. It is written and directed by Scott Moore and Jon Lucas. The picture is produced by Suzanne Todd. The film stars Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, Kathryn Hahn, Susan Sarandon, Cheryl Hines, Christine Baranski, Jay Hernandez, Justin Hartley, Peter Gallagher, Oona Laurence, Emjay Anthony, David Walton, and Wanda Sykes.
A Bad Moms Christmas arrives in theaters on November 3rd, 2017.
