Mckenna To Grace ‘Hill House’ With Her Presence

Amblin Television has cast Mckenna Grace in its forthcoming TV series adaptation of “The Haunting of Hill House“. Much like the rest of the cast, the specifics of her role have not yet been revealed at this time. The show, which will go into production beginning next month, has already found a home on Netflix.

Grace is no stranger to haunted houses, having starred in the oft-delayed Amityville: The Awakening. That particular film is finally set for release next month on both Google Play and in limited theatrical release. Her genre experience also extends to Bernard Rose’s 2015 take on Frankenstein and last year’s Independence Day: Resurgence. She can currently be seen in films such as Gifted and How to Be a Latin Lover, as well as on ABC’s hit TV series, “Designated Survivor“.

Mike Flanagan (Oculus, Before I Wake) is at the helm of this new adaptation of the classic horror novel. The Gerald’s Game filmmaker has penned the first season and is currently expected to direct all 10 episodes of the straight-to-series project. In addition to following Shirley Jackson’s tale, the series is expected to delve further into the history of Hill House and its past occupants. The novel was previously adapted to film in both 1963 and 1999.

The Haunting of Hill House” is a TV series adaptation of the classic Shirley Jackson novel by the same name. It is written and directed by Mike Flanagan. The series is produced by Justin Falvey, Mike Flanagan, Darryl Frank, Dan Kaplow, and Trevor Macy. It stars Carla Gugino, Michiel Huisman, Kate Siegel, Henry Thomas, Elizabeth Reaser, Timothy Hutton, Lulu Wilson, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, and Mckenna Grace.

The Haunting of Hill House” is expected to premiere on Netflix in 2018.
