The wait is over! Netflix has finally revealed an official release date for the first season of “The Punisher“! The upcoming Marvel TV series will arrive on the popular streaming service on November 17th, 2017. Also, as if the last one weren’t awesome enough, they pair have also tossed out another trailer for the “Daredevil” spin-off series. Check it out!
Rumored to initially be set for release this month, the never-announced date was pushed back in light of the recent Las Vegas tragedy. Some thought Netflix and Marvel might even push “The Punisher” premiere until next year, but that’s clearly not the case. As a result, this will mark the first year where the streaming outlet has released three Marvel shows within the same calendar year. Thus far they are currently set to do the same in 2018, in the form of new seasons for “Jessica Jones“, “Luke Cage“, and “Daredevil“.
“The Punisher” is the sixth Marvel television series from Netflix. It was created by Steve Lightfoot and is based on the popular Marvel Comics character. The series stars Jon Bernthal as ‘Frank Castle/The Punisher’, Ben Barnes as ‘Billy Russo’, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as ‘David Lieberman/Micro’, Amber Rose Revah as ‘Dinah Madani’, Deborah Ann Woll as ‘Karen Page’, Daniel Webber as ‘Lewis Walcott’, Jason R. Moore as ‘Curtis Hoyle’, Paul Schulze as ‘Rawlins’, Jaime Ray Newman as ‘Sarah Lieberman’, Shoreh Aghdashloo as ‘Farah Madani’, Rob Morgan as ‘Turk Barrett’, and Michael Nathanson as ‘Sam Stein’. Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio also appears.
“The Punisher” premieres on Netflix on November 17th, 2017.
