Filming began recently on the upcoming crossover between CBS’ “Supergirl” and The CW’s “The Flash“. A few shots of the stars together on set have been released, but many have been wondering what might bring Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and his scarlet speedster alter-ego to National City later this season. Last week’s episode of “The Flash” already hinted that “Supergirl” took place within the multiverse on an alternate Earth, so interdimensional travel seems to be on deck for Barry.
Who will the villain be, however? According to recent set reports, the big baddie will be none other than Silver Banshee. Back in December, actress Italia Ricci was cast in the role of Siobhan Smythe on the series. Smythe is the alter-ego of Silver Banshee and is meant to, at first, be an office antagonist for Kara (Melissa Benoist) at CatCo. It’s unclear whether or not she will appear on the series before the crossover event, but it sounds like she will definitely be donning her dastardly duds for the team-up.
The crossover, titled “World’s Finest” will be the 18th episode of “Supergirl” and is scheduled to air on March 28th.
