Zack Snyder’s Justice League is in production and now Warner Bros. has released a preview press kit that lists the cast, including two previously unannounced names. Per Batman-News, the film now sports Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor, who was introduced in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Connie Nielsen, who is playing Queen Hippolyta in the upcoming Wonder Woman solo film. Both of their roles haven’t been revealed, so it’s up to fans to speculate until more information comes out.
Having not seen Queen Hippolyta, who is Wonder Woman’s mother, I can’t really lend my thoughts on what she’ll add to the story. However, I’ll say that I’m not a fan of the Lex Luthor that was shown in Batman v Superman. It’s not that I thought Eisenberg did a bad job. In fact, I think he gave a great performance! The issue was with how the character was written, which made no sense. Lex Luthor is supposed to be intelligent, urbane, cultured, and brilliant. Last I heard, he wasn’t supposed to be some kind of neurotic, twitchy oddball, so the version we saw just didn’t feel right. Maybe his character will make sense with more films…

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Directed by Zack Snyder, the film stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, Raymond Fisher, Willem Dafoe, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielson, and J.K. Simmons.
Justice League comes out November 17th, 2017.
