As always, the folks at Empire magazine have conjured up a brand new still from an upcoming superhero blockbuster. The object of their visual affection this time ’round is Zach Snyder’s Justice League. As you can see above, the latest still from the upcoming DC Extended Universe film shows off the flashy heroic duds of Batman (Ben Affleck), The Flash (Ezra Miller), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot). Absent from the photo, but present in the film in at least some capacity are Aquaman (Jason Momoa) and Superman (Henry Cavill).
The Warner Bros. film arrives in theaters later this year and revolves around an assortment of superheroes coming to together in the wake of Superman’s death to combat a grave worldwide threat. Word is that threat is Steppenwolf (Ciaran Hinds), a cosmic supervillain who has arrived on our planet at the behest of the dreaded Darkseid. The film carries on from the events portrayed in Man of Steel (2013), Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), Suicide Squad (2016), and the upcoming Wonder Woman (2017).
