Darren Criss (“Glee“) will play villain Music Meister on CW’s “The Flash“. The character hails not from the comics, but actually from the animated series “Batman: The Brave and The Bold“. According to , the musical hypnotist will be the sinister songsman responsible for the musical crossover event between “Supergirl” and “The Flash” later this season. The crossover will start on March 20th at the end of the “Supergirl” episode that night and will carry over full-on into “Duet”, the episode of “The Flash” that airs the very next nightm on March 21st. Get ready to see your favorite characters from both shows burst out into song, as well as a few surprise guests.
TNT has renewed adventure series “The Librarians” for a fourth season. A spin-off of a series of TV movies that ran from 2004-2008, the show itself launched in 2014 and just aired its third season finale this past weekend. reports that the Dean Devlin-produced show will return later this year.
Low budget journeyman Roel Reine (Death Race 2&3, Hard Target 2) has been tapped to direct the two-part premiere for ABC’s “The Inhumans“. reports that the director will be diving into production on the Marvel TV series soon, ahead of an IMAX premiere this September and a full series debut in October.
Last, but certainly not least, Cartoon Network has announced that the brand new fifth season of “Samurai Jack” will premiere on March 11th. The Genndy Tartakovsky-created series originally ran from 2001 to 2004 for 52 episodes. This new season will supposedly be a limited engagement, offering up one large episodic tale that finishes out the titular character’s journey.
