“I’m On Him”: Nolan’s ‘Dunkirk’ Lands A New Trailer

Warner Bros. has released a brand new trailer for Dunkirk, the latest film by Christopher Nolan. A World War II action thriller, the film features an all-star British cast and looks to pack a wallop, both emotionally and viscerally. This full trailer carries over the mood of desperation that permeated the initial one, further driving home the massive significance of this particular historical event. There’s also the simple fact that there’s no way this film won’t look fantastic on the big screen, especially in IMAX. Nolan has been a maker of appointment cinema for over a decade now and Dunkirk looks to be no different…

Old school war films have always been a cinematic soft spot for me, so this project continues to strike a chord. These are the kinds of films I’d often watch with my grandfather as a child and I am ever grateful that we occasionally still get them. The fact that this particular feature is about an event I’m not overly familiar with (the Battle of Dunkirk) makes the film even more intriguing.

Dunkirk is the latest motion picture from director Christopher Nolan. The project was written by written Nolan, as well as produced the filmmaker and Emma Thomas through their company, Syncopy. The film stars Kenneth Branagh, Mark Rylance, Cillian Murphy, Tom Hardy, James D’Arcy, Fionn Whitehead, Aneurin Barnard, Harry Styles, Jack Lowden, Barry Keoghan, Tom Glynn-Carney, and many others.

Dunkirk arrives in theaters on July 21st, 2017.
