9. The Mummy’s Curse (1944)
Speaking of bores, this final entry in Universal’s 4-film Kharis series is an absolute snooze. If it weren’t for the novelty of a secondary monster, the mummy of Princess Ananka, there would be no reason to recommend this creaker of a creature feature. Lon Chaney Jr. looks half-asleep shambling around a swamp as the titular character and his supporting cast isn’t much more animated. It’s too bad that they don’t make a tana leaf concoction for films, because this picture is in dire need of an energy boost. This is just a bad movie, plain and simple.
