Warner Bros. Pictures has released another trailer for Blade Runner 2049. The Denis Villeneuve-directed sequel arrives in theaters this October and much like the previous two previews, this trailer looks breathtaking and wildly intriguing. The world appears to be in even worse shape than it was 30 years earlier, with the threat of war looming over all. The key to stopping such conflict lies within the hands of Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former blade runner who has been missing for decades.
What war is coming? What secret does Deckard hold? What is Wallace (Jared Leto) up to? Who is human and who is replicant? I have no clue across the board!
I’ve said this repeatedly already, but I’m in. I love the original and I love everything I’m seeing about this. The look is right, the atmosphere is right, and the tone is right. Furthermore, it has a stellar cast and Denis Villeneuve has been on fire as a filmmaker lately. I legitimately cannot wait to see it in less than three months.
