[Trailer] Marvel’s ‘The Defenders’ Come As They Are

Marvel TV and Netflix have issued a brand new trailer for “The Defenders“, their upcoming miniseries crossover event. The series pulls together characters and story arcs from the existing seasons of “Daredevil“, “Jessica Jones“, “Luke Cage“, and “Iron Fist“. Those four titular heroes and their pals will be coming together in August to combat the largest threat they have ever faced. What is that threat? Well, it’s not entirely clear yet, but it looks like we’re in for a lot of action as it all plays out…

This truly looks like the culmination of all five previous seasons of Marvel television on Netflix. Particularly when it comes to “Daredevil” and “Iron Fist“. Signourey Weaver’s Alexandra and a resurrected Elektra (Elodie Yung) all over this preview, but so are past enemies such as The Hand, Madame Gao, and Bakuto. If you haven’t caught up with “Iron Fist” yet, I suggest you do so before watching “The Defenders“. It looks like it’s going to be important to the plot at hand.

The Defenders” is a crossover miniseries event between Netflix’s existing Marvel shows. It is developed by Marco Ramirez and Douglas Petrie. The miniseries stars Charlie Cox as ‘Matt Murdock/Daredevil’, Krysten Ritter as ‘Jessica Jones’, Mike Colter as ‘Luke Cage’, Finn Jones as ‘Danny Rand/Iron Fist’, Elodie Yung as ‘Elektra Natchios’, Sigourney Weaver as ‘Alexandra’, Rosario Dawson as ‘Claire Temple’, Simone Missick as ‘Misty Knight’, Jessica Henwick as ‘Colleen Wing’, Scott Glenn as ‘Stick’, Marko Zaror as ‘Shaft’, Ramon Rodriguez as ‘Bakuto’, Wai Ching Ho as ‘Madame Gao’, Deborah Ann Woll as ‘Karen Page’, Elden Henson as ‘Foggy Nelson’, Rachel Taylor as ‘Trish Walker’, Eka Darville as ‘Malcolm Ducasse’, and Carrie-Anne Moss as ‘Jeri Hogarth’.

The Defenders” premieres on August 18th, 2017.
