We normally don’t post memes and joke videos, but I couldn’t resist when it came to this one. First, however, there’s the set up. Right now, Justice League is currently undergoing some additional photography under the direction of Joss Whedon, ahead of its November release. As a result, the stars are being called in for a few days a piece for any new or reshot footage involving their characters. For some of the actors, such as Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot, this is an easy accomplishment because they aren’t working on anything at the moment. Others such as Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, and Henry Cavill are off shooting other films, so their schedules are a bit harder to work around.
Momoa and Miller are in luck, as their respective productions (Aquaman and Fantastic Beasts 2) are Warner Bros. films. That makes working things out fairly easy. Cavill, however, is off shooting Paramount’s Mission: Impossible 6. Furthermore, his character in said film is mustachioed.
Here comes the fun part: Paramount has forbidden him from shaving it off for his stretch of the Justice League reshoots. This means that Warner Bros. will have to spend extra money to digitally erase his mustache from any new Superman footage shot for the film. While I’m sure that Warner Bros. doesn’t find this scenario funny, fandom has been poking fun at it ever since it became known. The internet is now overflowing with jokes and memes centering around the idea. It was only a matter of time before someone went a step further and added a mustache to existing footage of Cavill as Superman. That moment has arrived…
