Brenton Thwaites (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales) has been cast as Dick Grayson, aka , on the upcoming DC digital series “Titans“. The Gods of Egypt actor will step into the role of Batman’s original protege, the first Robin! The series will be based on the popular Teen Titans comic.

Brenton has the emotional depth, heart, danger and physical presence of Batman’s former protege and the Titans future leader. Thwaites joins the previously-cast Tegan Croft as Raven and Anna Diop as Starfire. The series will be produced by Johns, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and Akiva Goldsman. Production is expected to begin soon, with the series set to become the flagship show for DC’s impending exclusive digital network sometime in 2018.
