[Watch] ‘Children of the Cosmos,’ a Spacey Short Film

Brian Trenchard-Smith, the man behind such classics as BMX Bandits and The Man from Hong Kong, is one of my favorite directors of all time. As such, I take recommendations from him quite highly. On his Facebook he posted a short film called Children of the Cosmos from Brazilian directing duo Dante Vescio and Rodrigo Gasparini. Naturally, I had to watch it.

The clever 6-minute film takes you on a brief journey through the Cosmos, focusing on the significance of Earth and Life. Carl Sagan, Stephen Hawking and all the scientific greats are referenced as the film builds to the surprising conclusion. Children of the Cosmos ends up being nothing like you would expect which makes it all the more enjoyable. The payoff is absolutely wonderful. Enough of me talking about it though, check it out for yourself!
