Nightmares Film Festival has announced its 2017 award nominees! Quite a few of the features and shorts have even managed to rack up multiple nominations, especially the likes of Found Footage 3D, Capture Kill Release, Creswick, Pickup, Cry Wolf, and Bong of the Living Dead. The “Cannes of Horror” festival returns to Columbus, Ohio‘s world-renowned Gateway Film Center next week for an explosive run from Thursday, October 19th through Sunday, October 22nd.
As previously reported, the festival will host a vast array of feature films and shorts. In addition to remaining 100% on point with its vital support for grassroots indie horror (both local and international), the lineup is also stocked with the latest work by actress Pollyanna McIntosh (“The Walking Dead“, “Hap & Leonard“), actors Stephen Dorff (Blade, Cecil B. Demented) and Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill), screenwriter Victor Miller (Friday the 13th), and directors such as Tom Holland (Fright Night, Child’s Play), Rodney Ascher (Room 237, The Nightmare), Adam Green (Hatchet, Frozen), and Alexander Bustillo & Julien Maury (Inside, Among the Living). In short, if you’re able, you should get yourself to Columbus next week.
