According to , the upcoming untitled “X-Men” TV series from Fox has added an additional four actors: Amy Acker, Sean Teale, Percy Hynes White, and Emma Dumont. The pilot for this still unnamed television spin-off of the popular film franchise will be helmed by none other than Bryan Singer. The series is expected to debut on the Fox network this fall.
Amy Acker (“Angel“, “Person of Interest“) will play ‘Kate Stewart‘, one half of a parental unit that discovers that her children are mutants. She and her estranged husband, Reed (Stephen Moyer), will ultimately be forced to go on the run with their teenage children to keep them safe from sinister government forces.
Sean Teale (“Incorporated“) will portray ‘Marcos Diaz’, aka ‘Eclipse‘, a mutant with the ability to absorb and manipulate photons. He is as a “passionate” fighter who often lets his emotions get the best of him. He will be a part of the mutant underground that the Stewart family eventually finds themselves in when they go on the run.
Percy Hynes White (“Between“) will be playing ‘Andy‘. The role is described as a normal kid who is a bit of a loner.
Lastly, Emma Dumont (“Bunheads”) will bring to life ‘Lorna Dane’, aka ‘Polaris‘. She is a mutant who like Magneto, has the power of magnetism. Polaris is actually the most recognizable character cast on the series to date, as she is a character that has been around in the comics since the late 1960s. In the source material, she is the illegitimate biological daughter of Magneto and has often been a member of the X-Men or its sister team, X-Factor.
All four join the previously cast Stephen Moyer, Jamie Chung, and Blair Redford. The series is coming together under the guiding hand of showrunner Matt Nix (“Burn Notice“). It is produced by Lauren Shuler-Donner, Simon Kingberg, Jim Chory, Jeph Loeb, and Nix.
