‘Castlevania’ Receives Double Order For Season 2

Earlier today, Netflix debuted their inaugural season for “Castlevania“, their adaptation of the popular video game franchise. While fandom already plowing through this initial batch of four episodes, attention is slowly turning towards the future. What might a second season hold and will it be longer? We do not yet know the answer to the first question, but we already have one for the second. In our interview with executive producer Adi Shankar, it was revealed that the previously-greenlit second season of the animated series already has its episode count set…

“[Not] only has season two already been greenlit, but the episode order has been doubled to eight episodes.”

This is nothing but good news for fans of the recently-premiered series. Be sure to check out the rest of the interview at the above link. While Shankar was hesitant to lay out any plans beyond a second season just yet, it’s clear that he has a passion for the material and is more than willing to keep the series going if fans respond is high enough.

Castlevania” is an animated show based on the popular Konami video game series. Adapted by acclaimed Warren Ellis, the series is directed by Sam Deal and produced by Adi Shankar, Fred Seibert, Kevin Kolde, Warren Ellis, Toshiyuki Hiruma, and Larry Tanz. The series has a voice cast comprised of Graham McTavish as ‘Dracula’, Richard Armitage as ‘Trevor Belmont’, James Callis as ‘Alucard’, Alejandra Reynoso as ‘Sypha Belnades’, Emily Swallow as ‘Lisa Tsepes’, Matt Frewer as ‘The Bishop’, and Tony Amendola as ‘The Elder’.

Castlevania” is available for streaming on Netflix.
